A Step Free Route from Highgate Underground to Kenwood
This is a step-free route from Highgate Underground Station, to Mansion Cottage Information Centre, Kenwood House and Kenwood Brew House restaurant.
The journey is around 1900 metres. For people who can manage an average walking speed of 4.8 km per hour, this journey could take around 25 minutes. Bear in mind though, that these are estimates only, and that most of these journeys travel up and downhill, and so they may take longer.

1 Leave the station by the Archway Road (exit 3), then turn right and continue up Archway Road.

2 Cross Archway Road at the pedestrian crossing. Turn right and go along Archway Road to the corner of the road.

3 Cross over Southwood Lane at the pedestrian crossing. Keep going straight along the left hand side of Archway Road.

4 Take the second road on the left, which is Church Road. This road travels uphill. Stay on the left side of the road. You will need to cross over Talbot Road.

5 Cross over North Hill at the pedestrian crossing and turn right to go along North Hill.

6 Cross over View Road, turn left to go down to the end of View Road.

7 Turn right at the end of View Road, and go along Denewood Road.

8 Denewood Road begins to narrow. At the end of the pedestrian barrier turn left and cross over Denewood Road. This brings you to the start of Stormont Road. Stay on the right side and go along Stormont Road to the end of the road.

9 At the end of Stormont Road turn right onto Hampstead Lane. Continue up to the pedestrian crossing.

10 Cross over Hampstead Lane at the zebra crossing. Turn left and you will come to a row of bollards. Turn right and go through the bollards and along the lane to enter Hampstead Heath.

11 At the end of the lane take the 2nd turning on your right. You will pass a pagoda next to the path.

12 Take the next right hand turn after the gates to see Mansion Cottage information centre.

13 To the left of Mansion Cottage are toilets, Kenwood Brew House restaurant and Kenwood House.
