A Step Free Route from Kenwood to Parliament Hill triangle

This is a step-free route from Kenwood to Parliament Hill triangle. 

The journey is around 2200 metres. For people who can manage an average walking speed of 4.8 km per hour, this journey could take around 30 minutes. Bear in mind though, that these are estimates only, and that most of these journeys travel up and downhill, and so they may take longer.

  1. Route grade - moderate.
    Paved or hard packed earth surface, with some hills to climb but mainly downhill.

  1. step1

    1 With your back to the Mansion House information centre, Kenwood House is on your right. Walk away from Mansion house and turn right.

    2 Go through the gate, the walking path goes uphill slightly. You are now in Hampstead Heath.

    3 Turn right past the Pagoda. The path travels downhill.

  4. step4

    4 You will reach the lower gate to Kenwood house. Follow the path to the left. It goes downhill.

    5 The path changes to a broken surface. Keep going straight. You pass the entrance to the Stock Pond on your right.

    6 Keep going straight ahead. You pass the entrance to Kenwood Ladies' Bathing Pond on your right.

    7 Take the next path on your right and go to the bottom of the hill. There are toilets and a drinking fountain to the left of the path, on the far side of the barrier.

    8 At the bottom of the hill keep going straight. You pass between the Bird Sanctuary Pond on your right and Model Boating Pond on your left.

    9 Turn left at the far end of the Model Boating Pond. You pass a fallen tree on your right.

    10 Keep going straight through the next intersection, then take the left fork at the next intersection.

    11 Keep going straight through the next intersection, then take the left fork at the next intersection.

    12 Keep going straight at the next intersection. Your are almost there!

    13 The Parliament Hill Triangle facilities are directly infront of you. Toilets are to the left, and the cafe is to your right.
