A Step Free Route from Parliament Hill triangle to Kenwood

This is a step-free route from the facilities in Parliament Hill Triangle, to Mansion Cottage Information Centre. 

The journey is around 2200 metres. For people who can manage an average walking speed of 4.8 km per hour, this journey could take around 30 minutes. Bear in mind though, that these are estimates only, and that most of these journeys travel up and downhill, and so they may take longer.

    1 With your back to the Parliament Hill Staffyard and the café to your left, take the right hand path of the two that are infront of you.

    2 Keep going straight ahead. You will pass Highgate Number 1 Pondon your right.

    3 Following the path you pass the Men's Bathing Pond on your right.

    4 Veer to the right. Then keep going straight through the next intersection. The model boating pond should be on your right.

    5 After the Model Boating Pond is the bird Sanctuary Pond. Turn right and follow the path uphill.

    6 Take the left fork at the end of the Bird Sanctuary Pond.

    7 Toilets and drinking fountains are on your right here. The path surface here is compacted gravel. Continuing with the journey... Turn left after the traffic barrier onto Millfield Lane.

    8 Further up Millfield Lane you pass the entrance to Kenwood Ladies’ Bathing Pond on your left. Keep going straight along Millfield Lane.

    9 The path surface is now paved. Keep going straight up the hill. You pass Goodison Fountain on your right.

    10 Towards the top of the hill you find the lower gates into Kenwood estate (English Heritage). Follow the paved path to the right for views over Hampstead Heath.

    11 Turn left at the next crossroads. There are great views from the pagoda.

    12 Go straight through the gates towards Kenwood House (English Heritage). Take the next right turn to reach the Mansion Cottage Information Centre. The toilets and the Kenwood Brew House restuarant are next to Mansion Cottage.
