Red Square = the length of travel for each part of the journey
Green Square = the length of travel already completed

Walking speeds

Average walking speeds have been estimated to be 4.8 km per hour so a journey of 1000 metres could take 15 minutes. Bear in mind though, that these are estimates only, and that most of these journeys travel up and downhill, and so they may take longer.

People can use electric powered wheelchairs on all of these routes.
For people using manual wheelchairs, please make an informed choice before travelling using the information below. Hampstead Heath routes have been graded against this criteria, more specific information may be provided with each route:
Easy - can be managed independently by most users.
Moderate - may be managed independently but includes some gradients.
Hard - includes some long and challenging uphill sections.
